Comparing counts between stages in the visual method. The figure shows a graph comparing the counts obtained from a combined count of
observations and interpretations to that of explanations. These are plotted for the
three types of animation used. Combining the observation and interpretation counts
was necessitated because of the difficulties encountered in making distinctions between
the two stages.
